Have yourself a hearty meal of tossed salad and scrambled eggs and then head on over to join us for OUR FRASIER REMAKE, a crowdsourced, collaborative art project where Frasier fans remade the Seattle psychiatrist’s most meta episode… one frame at a time.
The iconic Season 1 finale, “My Coffee With Niles”, has been split into 185 sections, each roughly 6-12 seconds. A different artist is responsible for each section, remaking it frame by frame in a different visual style — animation, stop-motion, embroidery, puppetry, and more. Collectively, the contributors’ work has been nominated for Emmy, Grammy, and Webby Awards; hung in museums; broadcast on Adult Swim, Nickelodeon, Netflix, HBO, ABC, Funny or Die, and Comedy Central; referenced in Senate hearings; named Vimeo Staff Picks; screened at SXSW, Sundance, Slamdance, Raindance, Just for Laughs, and more!
OUR FRASIER REMAKE is both a celebration of the original show and a challenge to the idea of endlessly remaking IP.
The screening will include exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and outtakes from the making of the project as well as additional short films by the creators.
“Celebrate the impact Frasier had on so many different people and rediscover the magic that made us fall in love in the first place.” Keegan Kelly, Cracked
