Last Hurrah at Here-After
Our final two pop-up screenings at Here-After are Nov 21 & 22 and we’re going out with a bang (multiple bangs actually, if ya know what I mean).
Here-After has been an amazing place to show movies, and the staff has never been anything but kind and welcoming. They were among the first to reach out to us when we were looking for places to do pop-up screenings, and it’s been an ideal venue to show stuff from the weirder, wilder, more transgressive side of our programming spectrum; stuff like Polyester (in Odorama), the new restoration of Pink Narcissus, the latest Toxic Avenger, and, of course, The Pee Pee Poo Poo Man. And since it shared the same building with two concert venues, it was also a logical fit for great music documentaries like Goodbye Horses: The Many Lives of Q Lazzarus, Harley Flanagan: Wired For Chaos, and It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley.
But before we say our final goodbye to Here-After, we’re showing two naughty new movies fresh from the festival circuit to help us bid a (sexy and sticky) fond farewell; both shot on vibrant, lush 16mm and both raunchy as hell! Just the way we like it.
So join us for two final nights of debauchery. Arrive early to get great grub from Tat’s, a tasty beverage from the bar… and please always remember to tip your bartender.
Anything That Moves
- Friday, Nov 21, 2025, 9:30pm
Screening location: Here-After (21+) – alley entrance, 2505 1st Ave, Seattle
An avant-gutter psychedelic dream, ANYTHING THAT MOVES is the latest from Vinegar Syndrome Pictures and the second feature directed by Alex Phillips (ALL JACKED UP AND FULL OF WORMS). An erotically-charged, blood-soaked thriller set in the sticky corridors of Chicago and shot on fleshy Super 16mm, Phillips’ rust belt giallo continues on his trajectory of taboo-shattering horror cinema with this tense, funny, and absolutely twisted murder mystery.
The film follows nubile sex worker Liam who bikes with his girlfriend—his partner in both business and pleasure—through the city delivering snacks and divine satisfaction to his love-hungry clients. Meanwhile, a serial killer’s gory murders are piling up and all the evidence seems to point back to the lover’s bed.
Featuring supporting performances from erotic film legends Ginger Lynn and Nina Hartley, an original instrumental score by Chicago-based artists Cue Shop that calls to mind the lush orchestrations of Bruno Nicolai, and lurid visuals by acclaimed cinematographer Hunter Zimny, ANYTHING THAT MOVES provides an immersive throwback to 70s exploitation flicks.
Official selection: Fantasia Fest and Sitges Film Festival

Please note: Here-After is a 21 and over establishment. The entrance is via the alley in back of The Crocodile building. Get there early to order tasty beverages from the bar and delicious food from Tat’s Deli!
“Anything That Moves proves Phillips’ confidence and vision as a filmmaker. His sophomore effort shows an even more-assured storyteller who isn’t afraid to be both sincere and freaky in the same breath. That’s a hard balance to strike, and yet he accomplishes it flawlessly here, crafting a story that’s both deeply weird and deeply lovely.” Mary Beth McAndrews, Dread Central
“…approaching the ribald anarchy of John Waters … Anything That Moves is chaotic, raunchy, and weirdly sweet for its bursts of violence. Sure, there’s a serial killer on the loose, but there’s also purity of heart in Liam’s embrace of sexual freedom, and the solidarity of those who join him on their kink-friendly journeys. And that’s something to be celebrated.” Clint Worthington, RogerEbert.com
Fucktoys
- Saturday, Nov 22, 2025, 9:30pm
Screening location: Here-After (21+) – alley entrance, 2505 1st Ave, Seattle
A lush 16mm fever dream that reimagines The Fool’s Journey of the Major Arcana of the Tarot, F*CKTOYS is a campy romp that explores the intersection of intimacy, exploitation, and class in a pre-millenium alternate universe; a rich collage of humid industrial landscapes and pastel cotton candy skies.
Part-time sex worker, full-time chaos magnet, AP is convinced that the universe has it out for her… and she might be right. In this wild, unfiltered feature film debut from writer/director/star Annapurna Sriram, AP seeks a cosmic reset after a swampy tarot reading (courtesy Big Freedia) tells her she needs $1,000 and a sacrificial lamb to lift her curse. Armed with neither, she sets off on a bizarre quest with her kindred spirit Danni (Sadie Scott) through Trashtown, USA—a dystopian, neon-drenched sprawl of assorted oddballs, Tom of Finland cops, and strip clubs galore.
Channeling the cinematic stylings of French New Wave, cross-pollinated with the rebellious vibe of 90s-era Gregg Araki, F*CKTOYS is a rude, crude, unhinged, girlypop middle finger to filmic convention. Featuring a cast that includes 13 Reasons Why’s Brandon Flynn, The Comeback’s Damian Young, and a knockout performance by The Borgias’ François Arnaud.
Official selection: SXSW, Fantasia Fest, Sitges, and the Seattle International Film Festival

“It’s been a while since I’ve seen an out-of-nowhere, small-scaled debut that feels as big as this… For viewers tired of the metallic beige-ness of streaming series, this movie will hit like dopamine.” Matt Zoller Seitz, RogerEbert.com
“F*cktoys resonates because of its mushy center, full of heart and empathy. Sriram manages the unlikely, making a film that’s so individual to her and full of oddities and debauchery yet still striking an intimate and cosy tone.” Murtada Elfadl, Variety
