The Grand Illusion Cinema invites you on a summer getaway to the French seaside. If your vacation has become a thing of stultifying routines, let Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday break the spell with Jacques Tati’s signature comedy style. Join us for a special 35mm screening of this classic film, plus a silent auction and raffle with items the The Criterion Collection, Northwest Film Forum, SIFF and neighborhood businesses from around the U-District.
Doors will open one hour before each show for guests to mingle with other film lovers, nibble on hors d'oeuvres and sip on drinks from Georgetown Brewing, Chaco Canyon, Pizza Pi and more. Tickets for this year's fundraiser are available only via the Grand Illusion's website (credit card through Brown Paper Tickets). The $25 price includes admission to the event, one seat for "Monsieur Hulot's Holiday" and one drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).

All funds raised support ongoing operations at the cinema, and will partially fund an audio upgrade to 5.1 surround sound for digital presentations (the remaining funding comes from a 4Culture grant--thank you, 4 Culture!). Please come out and support Seattle's only 100% volunteer operated non-profit cinema!
